What the Gospel Offers:
A new beginning – forgiveness. Scott Peck was attracted to Christianity because of Christian understanding of sin.
A clear direction of how to go. When we think about change we think about giving up something not adding. The Gospel helps us with the power to change.
Provides a solid hope of eternal life. Christ's resurrection – Hope in the midst of dying.
A personal choice for everyone. The perfect Father has messed up kids too!
Are the opponents to the “Priesthood of the Believer” trying to re-weave the “Veil of the Temple”?
Jesus dealt with his frustrations by:
Changed the things He could.
Faced frustrations with an accent on the upbeat. “With God all things are possible”.
The essence of Faith is to wait with expectancy.
Failure is not Fatal.
Success is not Permanent.
